TL;DR

I am a writer and former technologist. I built and led the Data Science team at Pebble, the world’s first smartwatch company. My work at Pebble was profiled in Fast Company, Forbes, Popular Science, and more. Before leaving to work in the tech industry, I was a PhD candidate in physics at Cornell, where I won a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship for my research on the physics of social networks. I spent 2017-2018 as a visiting entrepreneur with the state government in Queensland, Australia.

I hold an MFA in writing from the Vermont College of Fine Arts. My fiction and essays have been published in the Southern Indiana Review, The Boston Globe, Epiphany, The Normal School, Moon City Review, Crab Creek Review, Sundog Lit, Ghost Parachute, Pidgeonholes, Vestal Review, and elsewhere.

I live in Los Angeles with my husband and daughter.
