TL;DR

I am a writer and former technologist. I built and led the Data Science team at Pebble, the world’s first smartwatch company. My work at Pebble was profiled in Fast Company, Forbes, Popular Science, and more. Before leaving to work in the tech industry, I was a PhD candidate in physics at Cornell, where I won a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship for my research on the physics of social networks. I spent 2017-2018 as a visiting entrepreneur with the state government in Queensland, Australia.

I hold an MFA in writing from the Vermont College of Fine Arts. My writing has been published in swamp pink, Southern Indiana Review, The Boston Globe, Epiphany, The Normal School, Seneca Review, The Pinch, Flash Frog, and elsewhere. My work has been shortlisted for the Santa Fe Writers Project’s Literary Awards, longlisted for the Granum Prize, longlisted for the Wigleaf Top 50, and nominated for the Pushcart Prize, Best of the Net, and Best Microfiction. My chapbook Wolfbaby, a collection of flash fiction, won the 2023 Cupboard Pamphlet Chapbook Contest and was published in 2025. I attended the 2025 Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference and work on fiction of all lengths: novel, short form, and flash.

I live in Los Angeles with my husband, daughter, and son.
